We recognized a need for an IDE that teams can work on together, and share data, regardless of the OS they're using. So we started to develop an IDE that could do that, and allow access to multiple databases.

October 30, 2019 GMV: Global Mobile Vision

Another successful convention attended!
This time we got a chance to talk to other businesses (big and small) that were interested in using QueryPie. The experience was so valuable because they asked hard-hitting questions pertaining to business that everyday users don't.

We also got to hand out candy for Halloween at the event!

October 4, 2019 TechCrunch Disrupt 2019

We had a great time at the startup alley! It was a really good chance to meet users face-to-face, get instant, direct feedback on the product after in-person demos, and also see other products similar to ours.

One of our designers even wrote about her experience in San Francisco, at the TechCrunch Disrupt convention. Check it out!

September 2, 2019 We got into the TechCrunch Disrupt Start-up Alley!

Our team was so excited to get the email letting us know we got a spot in startup alley! It will be our first time going overseas with QueryPie and of course, that means a whole new world! Our design team and marketing team are all excited to start working on the goodies for our booth.

We can't wait to showcase QueryPie!

August 26, 2019 QueryPie Open Beta + PostgreSQL

2 months after our official Open Beta, we have squashed many bugs and implemented support for PostgreSQL! This database was the most requested from our users, so it was the one we focused on the most.

Now we're eagerly waiting for feedback from our userbase so we can continue to improve and better our product! If you want to give QueryPie a try, please don't hesitate. It's still in Beta, but it's gorgeous and easy to use.

Check it out!

July 23, 2019 Participated in NextRise @Seoul!

This was the first conference/convention we participated in. It was an interesting experience for us, and the first time we had a chance to 'elevator pitch' our product to people that weren't directly connected to or involved in the data field. Having to explain what a database was and why IDEs/data work tools could be useful in layman's terms was a very interesting experience. We had a blast and met a ton of cool people!

April 3, 2019 Marketing Strategies

Our company is based in Seoul, South Korea. So while we've only gone through the normal struggles (if any struggle can be defined as normal) of gathering an interested customer base here in Korea, it's been much harder to reach the global market.

We've tried tackling this hurdle by using various international and popular communities like ProductHunt, AlternativeTo, and IndieHacker to raise awareness of our product. We also had our developers share their development process on a blog (https://medium.com/querypie) to document the journey of bringing this project to life. Thankfully, we have found some success as a few of our blogs have been featured on Medium (Javascript and Software Engineering pages) as well as on Hackernews.

We hope to be able to spread the word of QueryPie further and reach a global audience that can help us create a strong, active and amazing community.

April 3, 2019 Target Customers

Although we haven't yet launched QueryPie, and so don't have a 'first customer', we do have a target audience. We went into this project with the idea that database users all come from different backgrounds, like DBAs, developers, SQL Engineers, Planners, Marketers, Data Scientists and more. But their basic needs are the same: they need to access a database and directly handle data.

So we tried to define our target customer for QueryPie by reflecting on new trends in the database industry as well as the user population. For the actual breakdown on how we went about this, check out our blog over at Medium:

April 3, 2019 Why QueryPie?

Our CEO at CHEQUER used many database tools over the years. He always found different aspects of various database tools that he enjoyed, but never found one that did everything he wanted to do. So one day, he made up his mind to develop his own tool. That's how the idea of QueryPie was born.

If you want to know more about his journey and inspiration for QueryPie, you can read up on it here: https://medium.com/querypie/e05f11b9ae58
