After the soft-launch in July I asked for feedback on my landing page. Some kind people on Indie Hackers and Twitter offered their opinions and I compiled them all for later.
This time around I fully designed the page in Figma before building it. This let me iterate quicker, and try things without wasting my time. Once I felt happy with the design and the copy I went about coding the page in React.

After soft launching I started sharing my app around a lot more. I posted on Reddit r/chrome and shared more on Twitter. Also Gabe from Divjoy kindly added Recollect to the showcase section on Divjoy's landing page.
I reached out to most of these first few users and got a lot of great feedback on things to improve.
The main points:
Most of these will be built in the upcoming release - I'm excited to see how the app improves more with time & feedback from real people now.
After 8 months of development on the side, and an internal alpha testing group, I've finally posted the first version of Recollect up for public use on the Chrome store. You can visit and install the extension here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/recollect/fohanmdflalfggigogcneldkdekpmblk?hl=en
It's been a long time coming, and this is just the start of the journey. Short-term I will be building in lots of user feedback and improving the product, and focusing on simple marketing strategies.
Recollect is the easiest way to stay organized. No more messy bookmarks and lost notes. Save links for later, write down what you need, all in your New Tab page.
