We want to help beginner podcasters to give them non-biased feedback, and help them grow their podcasts.
Yes, we did it, we got the first paying member in Recoon community.
Also a small retrospective on our Producthunt launch yesterday.
- we went to 10th place on producthunt,
- got featured in the twitter account (is this happening to everyone or we can think that we're a cool product? :D )
- a lot of good feedback,
- 270+ upvotes,
- 400 unique views.
Although it was a bit stressful mostly it was really exciting to launch our project and put Recoon on map as a go to place for podcasters.

After getting overwhelming response and a lot of positive comments on our Discord server we decided to launch on producthunt.
If you are a podcaster who's looking for guidance, support and most importantly people who would listen and give you unbiased feedback on your content - then good news, Recoon was created for people just like you.
We have monthly community-only livestreams where we review our members podcasts, and also resources that help with optimizing workflows so you can concentrate on the creative process.

Podcasting is getting more and more popular, so many people want to get into it.
But once you start to get into the industry you understand that there's so much stuff your need to research:
- what hosting to use?
- how to record?
- how to edit?
- how to transcribe?
- how to promote?
And this is only the tip of the iceberg.
At Recoon we try to help our members to find the best setup they can within their budget, but we couldn't be as good at it as we are now without understanding our full landscape. What does the whole market look like and what tools are out there?
That's why we went there and created a FREE directory of 150+ tools for podcasters to research and find the ideal tools. Our directory is a list of tools that we could find segregated by their pricing and feature-set.

At the same time during the whole process of research we saw that there's a lot to say about podcasting industry. It's very diverse and everyone can find their cup of tea, and as makers ourselves we saw immense value in creating a report on the market growth and the potential it has.
We love to do research so for fellow makers that are building tools for podcasting market we build a report where we added our observations.
- What does the MVP looks like in the podcasting sub-categories,
- What are the pricing strategies for podcasting tools,
- What are the most noteworthy outliers in each category,
- What are the holes in the industry makers can take notes on.
We launched our report on September 10, and we had 1 sale after that!!!
