Launched my podcast! (1st guest - Courtland Allen)

Record Edit Podcast Episode #001 with Courtland was awesome and I'm happy to be launching with it. Believe it or not, we didn't even talk about coding...we talked about the Indie Hackers Podcast!

https://www.recordeditpodcast.com/blog/rep-001-courtland-allen-on-growing-downloads-and-community-through-storytelling

We went in depth on how & why he started it, what it took to grow to 40,000 downloads/episode, overcoming the common anxieties podcasters face, and how we first started working together producing the show!

Enjoyed the podcast! It felt like a good companion to the @JeffMeyerson Indie Hackers episode. I had no idea the IH podcast was started with the SE Daily playbook.

It was cool to get a glimpse at your story too. It’s amazing how cold emails work out sometimes.

Thanks so much taking the time to listen! What would you like to hear more of in future episodes?

Actionable items about building a show like:

        • Strategies for editing, mixing, leveling
        • Creating good intros and outros
        • How to take care of the above on a budget (Auphonic? Other tools or services?)
        • How to vet and book guests
        • Coming up with good questions
        • Balancing planned questions vs letting the conversation drift
        • Taking notes to track conversation flow
        • Building an audience
        • Getting feedback
        • Reviewing past shows and identifying ways to improve

Getting into the guests background, motivation, and worries is great too. Still wondering what shows @csallen is watching 😉
