Remote design jobs and resources for designers and makers.

From the beginning of this project, I was meaning to create a directory with tools and resources for designers and makers to power-up the creation processes and support them in another aspect of their journeys.
From colors to mockups, user research to analytics, I curated 1400+ tools under 100+ categories. The website directory also includes online courses, communities, podcasts, YT channels, reading materials, websites and some other resources.
Build on Notion, using open-source toolkit Fruition for custom domain, operating through Cloudflare workers. This took the burden of website development, so I was able to focus on the content more.
I'm updating resources daily, let me know your tool so I can add here.
This was a challenge. I was stuck with GoDaddy shared hosting for a long-time, a couple of domains and working websites, mostly Wordpress CMS, comfort of cPanel, with always crappy page speeds.
And today after seeing the speed of the website on DigitalOcean, I certainly sure now; I was living on dark ages, cable modem or something same level. I'm glad I finally get out of the comfort zone and achieved this, the whole user experience is transformed to another level.
I believe Remote Jobs Center found its new home. 🏠
I have a deep interest in topics like technology, society, education, psychology, and design. So I tried to curate a newsletter combining with the remote jobs listed on the website and started publishing today as weekly Sunday editions to a subscriber pool of 600 people. (my work contacts mostly.)
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
So, here we go.
In this week’s edition:
🌎 Remote jobs, work is where home is now.
🛠 Tools, making our lives easy.
🧠 Articles, for mind-food.
💎 TED Talks, brilliant people educate and inspire.
🤔 Words, stuck with us.
🎶 Music, playing on the loop.
📰 What else, news all around our planet.
After a long research period on the web, curating remote-first companies and creating a Notion database, now 14 employers with detailed profile pages and 100 remote jobs listed on the website. This is the most time-consuming process of the project, as I'm moving carefully, putting high standards for the companies, not just listing randomly remote jobs from everywhere, that would be easy. More companies and jobs to come!
After deciding the idea Remote Jobs Center, I started working on the brand identity, website with curating the first database of remote companies and jobs, building on the CMS I've experience with; Wordpress. MVP has two dashboards for both employers and candidates. There is a lot more work to do though, but everything begins with a single step.
