I finally released the API

I'm very happy to push the API online 🎉
I linked the web documentation at the address https://roleuproleup.com/api/
Any requests or any remarks on the API itself are very welcome 🙏

At least, Job board owners can now embed their job board content into their main website and eventually create a better engagement.

More than the API itself, this release enables new features coming soon. One of them is the direct integration with Slack, which is very needed. In the end community managers who animate a Slack group want their #jobs channel filled properly.

Looks good! Congrats on putting it out there.

    One thing that stood out:

Get last published jobs of a board

    And then the description:

Returns all published jobs of a specified job board

Doesn't seem to add up. "last" and "all"? Do you mean it returns all, ordered by latest?

You're absolutely right there is a consistency problem here. It should be the last everywhere.
I'm going to add the exact number (10) to the documentation

      Thank you!

Love that you're building an API on this already and thinking about this.

One of the things I always think about when using new tools is, what other existing tools that I use can this integrate with easily.

    What tools do recruiters use?

My main focus for the time being is to get a clear response to the integration with other tools question.
I have identified 3 different users of Role Up, and they all use different tools.

      • The job board owner (the person who manages the job board) is a community animator with a Slack, a forum or a main website. He needs a seemless integration with his already existing things in place. For him I'll have a direct Slack integration and a RSS feed
      • The visitors (potential applicants) for them I let each company posting provide their own link to facilitate the application
      • and the companies (the users who actually pay to post offers). They use an application tracking system like Lever, Greenhouse or BambooHR and have their hiring pipeline in place. To facilitate their life I'll have an URL input field that import their offer in a Role Up job board. It's a 30 seconds process (stay tune for a video demo)

One last thing that I deeply feel important, Role Up will be appealing only if the users can walk away with their data history. It's a feature planned 💪
