Started full-time on my idea!

RSVP has been an idea stewing since 2008! At that time I was a full-time web designer at Oracle and on the side, I promoted and booked shows and tours. I booked a 70’s German electronic act (Cluster) to come do a 4-day tour of California. I programmed our website myself and embedded a link to paypal for tickets for each night. I did design work in exchange for ad spots in a music magazine and we spread the word by mouth and at the time on Myspace. The tour went well and was nearly sold out every night including one date at a haunted hotel in Santa Cruz! However, the tools to list, promote, run and manage tickets for the event were clumsy, disjointed, and frustrating.

As a product designer, it was easy to feel the pain points and be able to translate them into an idea... then into a product design which my co-founder and I began years later.

We shelved the project during a few years of health crisis and picked it back up in January of 2019. So happy that are truly able to run with it now that social media has become a place of surveillance! Our goal is create a fun place where you can easily find out what’s going on, list your own events, buy or sell tickets - without your data sold to governments or corporations!
