ProductHunt Launch!

Travis Fischer @saasify

We're really excited to be launching the first product built with Saasify today!

Please check it out -- https://www.producthunt.com/posts/puppet-master

This is of course, just a single product launch, and the real power of Saasify is that we'll be launching dozens of SaaS products over the next few months!

One of our main theses with Saasify is that by enabling us to run a whole bunch of these experiments and launch so many different products in quick succession, we'll eventually find some with traction which means traction for the platform as a whole.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the work ahead of us to validate this assumption, but it's a big milestone for us, and you can certainly expect to be seeing a lot more saasified product launches from us soon.

Eventually, this will all blend into a cohesive marketplace of standardized FaaS, but for now we're focusing on marketing them as standalone SaaS products to optimize messaging and inbound channels.

As for the product itself, we chose to offer a hosted version of headless Google Chrome.

Puppeteer is a revolutionary open source project released by the Google Chrome team, and our goal with Puppet Master is to make it more accessible to a wider range of developers and programming environments.

We provide a simple set of hosted, serverless SaaS APIs for controlling headless chrome in the cloud. We currently support two targeted functions for taking screenshots and PDFs of any web page as though you were a real Google Chrome user, and we'll be adding a lot more to that core foundation over the coming weeks.

The API couldn't be simpler to try out -- we offer a rate-limited free tier, so just copy and paste one of the curl examples into your favorite unix shell to test things out.

One of the main reasons we've built this product on top of serverless functions is because they allow our customers to scale economically to any size workload. With our APIs, you only pay for what you use, so you'll never pay for API requests you don't actually use.

@chrisvxd and I are happy to answer any questions you may have 😀
