The Christmas Indie Hackers Challenge was a challenge to build something in the 7 days before Christmas. I was making very quick progress in the first few days, working about an hour a day I was able to get a functional but ugly MVP running locally.
It was a fun ride, but on the 20th, I realized that I wasn't going to have time to be productive so close to the holidays. I've had 0 time available to extracurricular development since the 19th. I was a little disappointed on the 20th when I realized there was no way I was going to have time over the holidays. But after some brief disappointment, I didn't let time management woes ruin a great time with my family.
But now I'm back from the Holidays, and I've got a 7 day plan I'm 3 days into. So I'm going to keep going. I'll be posting my success at following my plan over the next week or so.
When you fail at hitting a target, that doesn't mean you stop, right? I've got half the development work done. I still want this thing deployed soon. Wish me luck!
