Better Mockup Editor + New Features

Yo!

Just want to give a quick update about this little screenshot app despite that I've been so busy these days managing multiple projects at the same time.

It's not easy.

Well, we were able to improve Shotmockr.

Here are what was done in the last few days:

  1. Drag and drop:

You can now drag and drop images onto the editor, then it automatically turns into mac-ish design mockup.

  1. Cropping of the screenshot:

If you make use of Shotmockr chrome extension to take a screenshot, it automatically opens up in the editor and then you can crop the screenshot to your liking.

Additionally, you can also crop images that are uploaded or dropped into the editor.

  1. Fonts:

We optimize the fonts to make the editor faster. Made it in such a way that you know the typefaces of the font you're applying on the text while annotating the screenshot.

  1. Higher DPI source image for the mac menu bar

In my last update, @atymic tested the app and notice the menu bar in the generated PNG looked blurry, so I hired another designer to redo the menu bars for us.

The graphics were delivered today and the issue is fixed.

Thanks in advance.

Nice project! What is your plan for monetizing it?

    1. 1

      Hey,

      Thanks for the comment.

I actually created this for my own usage but might decide to make it a paid app later and it's going to be freemium.

So, the advanced features would be the ones users would pay for.

What other monetization methods would you suggest for this?
