Finished the MVP

Sam Levy @samlevy

It's been a long time in the making, but I finally finished building the minimum viable product for Sidework.io.

I've been using the product myself during the build and have spent the last few weeks fixing up the interface and squashing bugs. I overdid it early on with too many features, so decided to strip the application back to the bare minimum and still be useful.

It runs on Ruby on Rails with Mailgun for emails, Stripe for payments, Heroku for hosting, and Sentry for error tracking.

I decided to go with Stripe's new Checkout flow to accept recurring payments, which saved a lot of time worrying about custom payment forms and 3D-secure compliance. We'll see how it goes but I'm happy with how it's turned out so far.

I'm just excited to have it up and running and ready to show to customers!
