So for the last 2 months, I've been working on Snapfont. Here's my observation:
- The initial prototype was quickly done in about 2 weeks. It was functional and worked as intended.
- For the next 2-3 weeks, I collected UI/UX feedback and redesigned the app.
- A lot of time went into building the licensing stuff around the app. This was a big deal. The auth flow was done with the help of Gumroad.
- Recently, Google made it harder to publish apps with wide permission settings. So if you're app is demanding a lot of permissions, Google will take around 2-3 weeks to review your app after which it will be released in the store. This is a big deal.
Funny how I was optimistic this will be launched in about a month, while the reality is quite the opposite.
