💩SHIT LANDINGPAGE💩

Yes, you read the title right. My landing page is... SHIT.

It's ugly, but in the internet world - UGLY CONVERTS.

I didn't purposely make it ugly to convert, I just happen to be completely new at landing pages and used WIX to create it. Which isn't the most flashy of landing page designers.

---

Here are a few stats for you (since I started ~1 month ago):

2,454 visits
2,035 unique visitors
13.5% conversion rate to sign up

---

Traffic sources:

89% Indiehackers
5% Twitter
3% Startuplister
3% FB ads

---

All by spending no more than £20:

Wix premium Account - £10
Facebook ads - £10

---

Even with a terrible looking landing page, I was able to achieve these results due to 3 things:

  1. Simple effective copy
  2. Overly generous signup offer
  3. Bold claims

---

What have I done to upgrade my shit landing page?

I've changed the design workflow and added some more copy. Currently, I still have the overly generous offer of a free BETA account, but soon it will be changed to paid only.

Let me know what you think?

I actually love your landing page! You make a bold claim then proceed to CLEARLY show the way one video ends up in three different formats. No fancy graphics, no clever animations - just cold, hard problem-solving. I for one would really like to see this succeed - the technical achievement would be incredible!

Thank you so much, I appreciate that loads.

My only real problem is ensuring this executes technically speaking.

Is there a certain flow or model that you expect Spread to work in a certain way? If that makes sense hahaha

If you implement the flow you show on your page using those boxes and arrows, that would make Spread an amazing piece of engineering! Are you also a software engineer?

[Btw, I studied computer science in Solihull College, Birmingham :-)]

No way!!! Are you still local to brum?

Sadly I'm not a software engineer, I wish I was... I have hired an upwork freelancer to complete the product for me, he seems very capable though

What are you using your computer science knowledge to build? :)

          1. 2

YES way! :-) I lived the brummie life waaaay back in 2006 before returning to Tanzania after completing my studies. Back then the Bullring was still being constructed and I remember many rides on the number 57 bus from Smallheath to Solihull College. Good times!

I used my computer science knowledge to make a desktop accounting app for small shops which eventually won $328,000 in free money which was fun :-)

Be sure to share your progress with Spread, it will be one hell of an achievement if you manage to pull it off!

            1. 1

I bet that was fun!!! $328K!!!

Congrats on that. One day I'm sure Spread will be able to deliver a similar level of value to what your app obviously did.

I'll keep you and every other IH updated don't worry. Cheers mate

The sky is the limit mate, keep the hustle strong!
