I've spent a few years contemplating "neocapitalism" - a new way of conceiving the purpose and pursuit of work in the 21st century.
The recent emergence of the platform economy/gig economy is only the tip of the iceberg.
In the future not only will everyone have their 15 minutes of fame, everyone will have their own platform for expressing their ideas, recording their lives, cultivating a following, distributing their work, automating their income, etc.
Startup Engine is my attempt to catalogue, organize, and make accessible the best knowledge and tools for launching a modern platform of your own. It's basically "Blinkist/Audible for Startups."
I'm attempting this for myself as much as anyone else, which is probably why I finally feel like I've struck on a solopreneur business model that I can sustain for the long term.
I've already built the basic infrastructure –- Stripe for billing, Shopify for e-commerce, Contentful for content management, analytics, marketing automations, etc. They're all playing together nicely. All that is left is the content itself.
In the coming weeks I will be filling out the content with the top 10 ideas from the best startup books currently on the market.
