I woke up this morning to my first sale on SugarKubes. The first product was a react-native starter project.
I'm not sure how much to weigh in on what product sold. We have about 7 different products now listed on SugarKubes and the first sale was from a starter project.
I think early on I had over-estimated how complex initial products are. There are some really cool and some really advanced machine learning apis for sale but the first thing that sold was a simple starter project.
My next move is to figure out if the buyer was doing it to learn, or to kick off a project (i.e. was this purchase to learn or to build faster). I've seen a few people that sell starter projects both on here and around the web meaning it must be somewhat profitable to do so and there must be at least some demand for it.
I still think that SugarKubes should enable people to buy and sell more complex items but it seems like perhaps the path of least resistance will be to start making more starter projects or start marketing the starter projects more.
