Product research is the problem we faced when we started our eCom journey. We kept refining and automating our process. What first started as a stand alone script is Super-Ali now after years of work.
Super-Ali imports products from AliExpress and they kept blocking us. But we have been figuring out new ways to import more products and finally crossed 50 Million products in the database.
I'm not aware of any other product research tool which has a bigger database than us.
We had build a group of 2000+ members and did a webinar with yearly offer. Everything went wrong, webinar went horrible but we got 1 subscriber for $997/year. Best feeling in the world :)
First ever version was just a simple python script that I could run and get some data. We had no plans of launching it publicly but we knew there was a need for it so we started developing a Chrome Extension but couldn't do a lot of stuff due to certain restrictions. That's when we decided to build a full fledged platform.
I got into Dropshipping way back in 2013 and biggest issue we were facing was product research and kept improving on it. Later on we started focusing on automating the process and that's how first idea of Super-Ali came.
