Launched on ProductHunt

After 3 months of furiously coding on the project in the evenings and on weekends, I finally was ready to launch on ProductHunt. I knew the product had long ways to go in terms of quality, I wasn't happy with it at this stage, but I wanted to get it out of the door as quickly as possible to validate the idea.

So I whipped together a video presentation featuring some voice samples (all generated by my app) and then submitted it, along with some pictures and info, to ProductHunt.

Here's the video:

The product was well received. It got picked up by ProductHunt editors, and was featured as the main product in the weekly newsletter. Within a few days I had over 2,500 members signed up, and received several emails with mostly positive feedback - and even a few questions about VC funding.

I knew the use case appealed to people after testing it on my friends, but I had not anticipated this rush.
