Launched v1 of TeleRetro 🚀

2020 has never been the year that anyone planned for. For me, my plan of building and growing my product was unfortunately slowed down by the pandemic lockdown. Instead of quickly building, launching and iterating on my idea, it was full time babysitting and home schooling for my young children. Whenever I’ve had time in the evening or weekends, I’ve tried to make a little progress on my project. However, with the schools reopening recently, I’ve been able to find enough time to ship my product, and so I’m really excited to announce that the first version of TeleRetro (https://www.teleretro.com) is live!

I believe remote working is the overdue revolution for many industries, and there should be more tools to support people who are working remotely. TeleRetro is one such tool, that focuses on bringing a better agile retrospective experience and improving team communication and productivity. There are a number of online/remote retrospectives tools out there, but many have dated UI or don’t focus exclusively on retrospectives.

TeleRetro has a fresh, modern and friendly UI, and also all the features you expect – realtime notes, grouping, voting, etc... The next step is to work closely with our early users to help improve the product.

If you need a tool for running a remote retrospective, try TeleRetro for free. It’s only the first version, but there are many exciting features to come. I would love to hear your thoughts!

    Hey @TeleRetro,

Congratulations on your launch. I have to agree with feedback that @unremute provided. The UX needs a little polishing. Perhaps all that is needed are some short, concise prompts placed at the appropriate time, such as when you start adding cards to the columns you have selected. I can tell you have a good eye for what looks good and UI in general, so keep that up! I can understand how that would be a differentiating factor for your product over other retrospective tools.

    Best of luck!

      Hi Tom,

That's very kind of you, thank you! Yes that sounds good, I'll definitely look to improve these areas.

      Many thanks! 😄

    Hi,

I took a quick look at your product.

What I would suggest you is to work on user onboarding.

I am a first time user and I have difficulties understanding what I can do. I keep seeing empty pages. I need to figure out what to click. I could find how to create a Retro, then I was looking at a screen with a sky picture, trying to figure out what to do with this. I tried several things, then the double click worked. It is very difficult to figure out how to use it all by myself.

Also, when I am creating a "Retro" there are so many options in the popup menu. Do you really need them all? It looks confusing and discouraging.

Don't get me wrong though, congrats on your launch, I am trying to share my experience with you so it can be constructive :)

      Hi Alper,

Thanks very much for taking the time to check it out. That's really valuable feedback 👍, thank you!

I'll take all your points onboard and see what I can do to make the experience clear and obvious.

      Cheers!
