From when I first launched quite a few users asked me if I had any plans to add an API so they could integrate it into their application.
I've never built an API before so there was a lot to learn but I'm pleased with how it's turned out. I put a lot of time into making sure the documentation was simple and easy to follow as well as providing lots of helpful code samples to copy and paste.
There's nothing worse than working with a poorly documented API (cough PayPal)

Today I acquired my first sale! After 5 years of trying and failing with various side projects it feels great to get my first paying customer. It makes all the hard work worth it and also validates the business idea.

After about 2 months I've finished building the MVP for textreel. I mainly worked on this in the evenings but managed to make pretty good progress.
In the past I've spent too long working on projects only to find they were doomed to fail so my goal was to get the MVP ready as soon as possible.
I'm now going to launch on Product Hunt and Hacker News in the hopes of getting some feedback and market validation.
Over the past few months I've noticed audiograms being used more and more for marketing material. I've always thought they're pretty neat but didn't have to skills to make them myself.
That's when I came up with the idea of automating them and textreel was born.
The idea is that users will upload their audio files and the textreel will convert this into an eye catching video.
