Startup Coaching + Exclusive Community
I've been an advisor to several startups and have 10 years experience in Product Management and R&D. I've realised after starting a Mastermind Group earlier this year, that I can really help SaaS and E-commerce companies
When I offered to video product feedback for anyone in the IH community, I wasn't sure how it would go or who would be interested. It turns out 20 people wanted this, and from that a few things have started to happen (from the 14 recorded so far):
I'm learning that there are places where people get stuck all the time, things that only this kind of analysis and feedback could have revealed.
I'm so grateful to have this community, to be able to help in this way and have this kind of impact on peoples' businesses - to help them see how to push forward.. its an amazing feeling.
They say if you can be paid doing what you love you will never work a day in your life. This feels the closest i've been to that :)
A couple of weeks ago I launch a new landing page, offering "coaching" to startups. The idea was based on the work I do day to day as a PM, realising that this knowledge and experience really helps startup founders and indie hackers who need an informed outside perspective on their product.
After getting positive feedback and around 100 hits on the landing page - but no one signing up even for a free 1hr session - I decided to post an offer to the IH community. I offered to record a 30 min video of me doing a form of Product/Design review for them.
So far I've had two extremely positive results to the videos I've made. In total, from IH, Reddit and other places I had ~20 responses in 24 hrs.
I've just updated the landing page to offer these reviews as a paid service. I removed the coaching stuff for now and set a simple price. I've setup a typeform with stripe integration, the data from the form goes directly into a Notion table that I can work from easily.
I'm planning to record several more videos to help refine my own production workflow. Then I need to figure out the marketing.
Today I am now offering productised coaching + community on a subscription basis. I've helped multiple businesses start and grow over the past year+
I leave my job as Head of Product next week to make this a full time effort. The number of clients I can take on is limited, but I'm hoping to have a big impact on the clients i can take on.
