We Had a Better Idea, and started a painful pivot


We were initially in the Low-Code/No-Code space. We had customers and had about $250K revenue in first year. However, I was starting to question our strategy because it felt like we were doing a lot of custom work for each client. Not the kind of business I wanted to build given its limits on scale. At the same time, a bunch of our customers were complaining that the cloud bill was their biggest problem. Luckily, we have Finance/Infra wizards in our company at the time and devised a plan to pivot to the space after saving those customers about 60% of their AWS bill in a month.
