The first Tippy transaction!

We've been working endlessly on the branding and backend of Tippy. I'm so glad to announce a milestone that we've reached today.

@geordigeordi worked tirelessly to get the transactions to work on Tippy. As a result, we had our first Tippy transaction done through Twitter!

Feels good.

    The link isn't working http://www.tippy.money/

However, this one is working fine https://tippy.money/

I think you might need to add an htaccess redirect so that it always defaults to the https version of the site and excludes www.

      Thanks! Great find :)

I guess I didn't set it up on vercel when I threw together the site. I'm not using an apache server (no htaccess) but think I can config it in Vercel.

Site is down for me too, Texas USA.

I'd love to check it out! Are you using Webflow by any chance? I had a similar issue with them originally.

      Hmm.. That's really strange.

No, we aren't - it's a static site hosted on vercel!

What happens when you try to load it? :)

      Sorry for the inconvenience!

It's hard to tell, because with AT&T, my browser immediately redirects to https://dnserrorassist.att.net/search/?q=http%3A//www.tippy.money/&r=&t=0

Wish that was more helpful haha.

@dustinm the site should be up at https://tippy.money/

An error on our end with HTTP vs HTTPS

I saw an email came through the site from an email of [email protected] 😂 - unsure if it was a troll or not but hope it works now regardless. Thanks again

Yes!! The site started working for me after your last comment about changing DNS! That seems to have done the trick.

And it’s not a troll! Haha I want to check it out!

No that's totally fine, just reporting this is helpful.

Super strange! I can see some users from the US on Splitbee earlier today.

It might have been a Namecheap DNS thing as I had it on the free DNS there, I just switched it to Vercels nameservers.

If you get a chance to try it again it would be great! But the changes might take a while anyway.

Thanks for letting me know! and really appreciate you wanting to check out Tippy

Well done! Your website wasn't loading, not sure if it's my net or your website ;p
I'm on a public wifi, so that could be it.

It turns out it was an issue with adding http and https at the beginning of the URL. You can try it now by visiting https://tippy.money :)

Strange! Not sure what could have caused that. As far as I'm aware, it should be accessible from any network, but thanks for bringing it up to our attention.

What location did you try accessing it from, if you don't mind me asking?

Was for me as well now seems to be back up

Glad to see it's back up! Not sure what happened.
