Q/A onboard, automatic emails set up & research

Alan Montgomery @TheTechTeacher

I've got my automatic email system set up for when someone

  1. Signs up
  2. Subscribes to newsletter
  3. Sends a message through website

Few more to do regarding upgrade options after trial and during trial to give them a heads up but so far looking good. Just passing a variable into a script which switches on it and works out the email content. Looks very nice and professional.

I'm still on track for the 31st August. I have around 20 items in my backlog to get done and only around 4-5 of them are deemed "Crucial" - the others can be implemented along the way or left to last minute.

I also have a professional tester/Q/A on board to test everything, and we'll be working alongside each other in the coming weeks to make sure no stone is unturned.

I've been spending a lot of time researching marketing / promotion techniques

  1. Facebook Ads
  2. Product Hunt Launch
  3. Hacker News Launch
  4. Bodybuilding .com post
  5. Reddit post
  6. Huge facebook post
  7. Contacting gyms to allow for in-house promotion
  8. Promotional flyers
  9. Also trying to secure a spot at bodypower in May 2020 for a promotional stall to market my product in the worlds biggest fitness event.

Exciting things ahead. I'm really committed and determined to make this work as I genuinely think this will be the most powerful, slickest and intuitive workout tracker on the market focusing on simplicity and no gimmicks that every other gym-related app includes.

More updates to follow as I work my way through my backlog!
