Build a PoC

Achraf ASH @AchrafAsh

I tried to be as fast as possible to have a prototype up and running on a landing page.

You can only signup for early access, but I thought it was important to see the product in action first.

I'll probably add the widget on all of my websites to leverage the "powered by" effect.

Salut Achraf 👋 Congrats on launching your landing page and PoC!

I thought I'd share a few thoughts that came to mind after looking at your landing page.

I really like the simplicity of the page. I understood what your product does and how to implement it just from scanning the page. I thought showing the code and a live demo is a nice touch – you're showing instead of telling which has far more impact.

I did question what benefit this has over Google's translate feature. That said, I think if users have the option to embed a language selector on their website (like you've done on your site) it may come across as more professional? It also gets around the challenge of people who don't use Google Chrome.

Waouw thank you so much @austerberry for the feedback! I couldn't ask for more 🙏

You're right, I should emphasize more on the value proposition. What I imagine is a translation that sounds native. It should take into account parameters like who are your visitors (old, young, professionals, ...), your market, SEO, UX, ...

I've seen on Twitter comparisons of AI-generated copy against human's copy and it was hard to distinguish. That's the "aha moment". When your visitor think the translation is the original copy and not a translation.

Sounds awesome! I really like the idea of being able to tailor it based on parameters, I imagine that could be useful when thinking about the brand tone of voice.

Best of the luck with the product! Keep me posted 👌

Ooo, are you using google translate?

    1. 2

I'll be using DeepL to start which gives incredible results. But further down the road I'll try to automate it with something like GPT-3 to have a better copy (with parameters like the market you're in, the personas, etc)
( this makes me think it's possible: )
