Existing form builders are too much of a playground. I wanted to offer a form builder that is designed to make high-converting forms and help users get as many results as possible.

August 7, 2021 4 new subscribers in 4 consecutive days

Typebot is slowly getting traction. I just received the appreciated Stripe notification for 4 days in a row. It is mostly due to a change in the pricing plans. I removed some features from the Free plan in order to make users more enticed to upgrade.

July 20, 2021 Partnership with a marketer

After writing a well-received blog post on Typebot's lifetime deal campaign, Romaine Piper reached out to me by email saying he could help market Typebot more efficiently.
I decided to jump on a call with him and now we're working together on Typebot's marketing strategy.

May 29, 2021 +$11,800 with a Lifetime deal campaign

Typebot went from 1 to 767 paying users with no marketing effort thanks to a lifetime deal campaign.

Here are the results after 3 weeks:

๐Ÿš€ 767 sales ($23,605). We gradually increased the deal price from $25 to $39.
๐Ÿ‘‹ Waving hand 900+ new users
๐Ÿšช Door 2,4% refund rate

February 20, 2021 Hit $100 MRR

With 6 subscribers, Typebot made it to $100 MRR. Of course, it's still not even ramen profitable but there's a first for everything. I'm looking forward to talking to them and make sure Typebot gives them greater results than alternatives.

Let's keep grinding ๐Ÿ”ฅ

September 20, 2020 Launched on Product Hunt

Here it is => https://www.producthunt.com/posts/typebot

It didn't perform as I expected, honestly. It was the 5th or 6th product of the day. This is the kind of "no-code" product that's supposed to generate a lot of hype. But I think the tagline is weak: "A no-code conversation builder". I should've come up with something more controversial.

Here are the metrics at the end of the day (20/09):

  • 681 landing page visits from Product Hunt
  • 239 (40,6%) users interacted with the typebot in the hero
  • 73 signups
  • 38 users created a typebot
September 17, 2020 200 signups!

This is probably a vanity metric to keep track of if you have a freemium product because a lot of users are just signing up to test the tool once and then never come back. I try to talk to them by email though but I don't receive much answers honestly ๐Ÿ˜…

June 22, 2020 Got my first paying customer

I got my first paying customer. The Stripe email notification felt amazing, haha. I didn't even talk to the user, he fell in love with the product and got the premium subscription right away. And its first typebot performed very well. He had to collect feedback for his working paper about e-sport. He shared it on a Facebook group and collected ~800 chats overnight ๐Ÿ‘

June 15, 2020 MVP finished, gotta launch now!

I took ~1 month to build a simple MVP. I planned on talking about the project on LinkedIn to my French audience, and the feedbacks were quite good (maybe because I offered premium subscriptions too). So I continued building the product (maybe I focused too much on the product)

May 10, 2020 What if I build a Typeform alternative?

I was looking for a Typeform alternative that could output a conversational form. So I searched about chatbot builders but I found them hard to use. They are mostly presented as "blueprint design". So I wanted to make a WYSIWYG builder where you click on things you want to modify. Meet Typebot ๐Ÿ˜€
