150+ emails on the waiting list

Today I went to check the number of email addresses (as each of us does) and saw 167 emails in "wait-list".

I started the project a month ago and this is still not enough, but so far I am pleased with the progress.

Landing page actually did not help me much (I collected only 9 addresses), but searching and talking with people helped a lot to get some kind of minimal trust.

Now I feel more responsibility, and I have a lot of energy to achieve my goal.

By the way, my goal for the next six months is 3k MRR 🤩🤩🤩

Yes, I love such stories - people actually talking to customers and trying to help them, then gathering a small audience of more loyal users, who become first customer base, and help to polish V1 of the product.

It's not sexy. It doesn't scale. 167 emails is not 5,000. But it's exactly what is needed in the beginning.

    Congrats @Gurachek!

I completely agree! But sexuality does not arise just like that, it is also a result of hard work.

I also like the opinion of Paul Graham on the need to do things that don't scale :)

Direct dialogue and the desire of people to buy a product is what I need now 😁

Can you elaborate on how you search for people to talk to?

    1. 2

I have four channels – linkedin, facebook, instagram, telegram chats.

I try to search for specific groups / chats and look for people (mainly teenagers) who are going to study PHP and ask someone for help on some issues or ask for advice. I have 4 years of commercial experience and another 4 years of self-study, so I help solve problems for free, explain complicated topics, and give advice. And in between I talk about my service, which will develop an individual approach to training for the user. This usually interests people and the interview begins 😁

How do you plan on achieving your next goal of 3k MRR?

    Can you give more context?

167 emails that won't respond are very different from 167 emails that will respond within a day.

167 emails from 200 landing page visits is outstanding, 167 emails from 10,000 visits is worrying.

Side note - Make sure you keep engaging that list. If you don't engage them until your product is ready they're going to go cold.

    Hey Valera!

Great job! Personally I'm stuck at a good 12 persons that joined mine, so good job.

What has been you main way of aquiring the subscribers?

You say your goal is 3k MMR, but it also says your app is free - how are you planning to monetize it?

I like your landing page over all, the videos showing the workflow etc.
But just a couple critique points I took while browsing -

    1. Your copy in the header is too long - you write a lot of words about your product and what it does. I would recommend writing a short main copy of what value it gives me. An example could be "Viebook let's you learn better" or simply "Learn better with Viebook" and then a two-liner underneath describing your product a bit more.

    2. The image in the header is strectched, atleast on my screeen, and has dummy (lorem ipsum) text and is low quality. That doesn't scream premium product to me as the first thing. I had to scroll down to actually feel the value.

    3. Get an SSL-certificate. It's good for SEO, and it personally sticks out to me as a professional webdeveloper. Especially(!) if the login or main app is not under SSL.

Hope you could use it, and feel free to ask if you got any questions - would love to help.

    Best,
    Nicolaj

      Hey!

Now I use linkedin, several forums and I am looking at different sites for people who have just started or are going to study PCP. I emailing them, send GIFs and suggest discussing their desire and pains.

I have not figured out the prices yet. I need to make a few blocks for the "Pricing" block. First of all I need to realize for what result I'll charge money and how much it can cost (I don’t want to copy the price from competitors or set it randomly XD).
      Monetization - monthly subscription :)

      1. I understand what you mean. I think I'm just afraid that my project will be misunderstood, but you're right, tomorrow I’ll change it for something simpler!
      2. Got it! The first thing the user sees is very important, I have to work harder on this
      3. All right!

Thank you very much for the feedback, it is very important for me.

      In touch 🤘
