We are building a tool for video survey creation for Recruiters.
Wait, what?
We believe that cold HR outreach demands human touch; personalised videos can help increase % open rates.
I.e., I'm tired of receiving generic messages from recruiters on Linkedin.
After a couple of months of stagnation, we woke up and decided that it was time to set the new direction. After days of discussion (and funny coincidences), we decided to build a tool that helps recruiters create engaging video surveys to send to their candidates.
Via Linkedin, email, Facebook. Everywhere.

Slowly validating the market fit, outbound on Linkedin, started a couple of conversations, demoing the product & gathering feedback.
Our weekly update, total numbers:

๐ 12 users signed up for a demo
๐ 25% email click rate, thanks to the video survey.
๐ 2 demos - one postponed due to COVID :(
So far, we've learned:

That's pretty exciting! We are validating the main USP of our product in our own emails.
By adding a video to the "welcome" email for new Beta subscribers we've managed to achieve 86.3% open rate.
But what's more exciting is the click rate (46%) and the engagement rate on our video survey itself.
The beta video survey presented in our demo welcome flow achieved ~30% answer rate.
Then 50% of users clicked the CTA on a "Thank you" page.

Let's translate that into e-commerce use-case:
If the shop owner wants to collect feedback about new product, he would send an email to 1000 users.

We've just finished our first demo with a potential customer!
And we are really excited, can't wait the brainstorming session tomorrow.

This milestone here is going to be about the idea.
The idea for ViQuestion was super simple;
How can we make e-commerce transactional emails more fun?
We've immediately thought about videos which became a standard in marketing.
How about videos that engage the audience and make customers come back to the shop?
That sounded fun!
We've validated the idea with our friends (or ex-clients) who are owners of small e-commerce and...
... they loved it!
So we've started working on this as a side project, putting some hours during the month into it.
Now, after almost a year (sic!) we are almost ready with the beta and very excited to share it to the world.
