A collection of tools and graphics to save designers time.
After the initial success of my first tool, SVG Backgrounds, I had a growing list of ideas that had a common theme: helping designers work faster.
My first sale comes from a loyal-customer of my other product SVGBackgrounds.com and also revealed my new site Visiwig.com has problems post-checkout that I need to address. The customer purchased all three products in my marketplace ($40).
I feel like I'm heading in the right direction by creating a shop with more than one product. A place where all my efforts build on top of each other. Creating one freebie or product that does well will give more eyes to all my other products.
After brainstorming a lot, the idea of branding a collection of tools under one name was acted on with the purchase of Visiwig.com. The name VISIWIG starts with “vis”, short for visuals, which is the focus of the web tools that will be created. And is a play on the acronym WYSIWYG or “what you see is what you get”, a nod to the emphasis placed in building solid UIs for our tools which manipulate graphics.
