First paying customer

Other than the people I'm shared it to myself I'm kind of at a loss for how to promote this.

There's a lot of scammy marketing in the trading industry so I'm also kind of reluctant to market this much. I'm really OK with it being I tool I use myself and share with friends.

But I did accidentally acquire my first payment customer. They said they just found it on Google. They did require a bit of support in explaining how to use the data which is not something I want to have to do. So if this becomes a pattern I'll need to add more instructions on how I use it.

    Generally I look for remotely similar products, like in your case there are a few apps for stock market data ( some even yc backed) and look at where they promote their product. Facebook groups and quora has worked well for me, maybe you could try that.
