It was a great ride, with ups and downs, but Watu has now been sold. It wasn't the hockey-stick outcome that we wanted. Nobody made much money, if at all, out of it and we focused on making sure our customers were well taken cared of by another provider as we couldn't maintain Watu anymore.
Technologically, it was a success, never going down for long periods of time, never suffering a data breach or any data loss. The company served more than 150 customers, having booked more than 200k people on about 2M shifts, paying them a total of £112M.
