Website Speed Monitoring
Running PageSpeed Insights in front page from time to time isn't enough. This tool does it for you in every page of your domain.
Turns out pandemic has been a really weird trigger for me, so last month I left my company in order to adapt work to my lifestyle, instead of adapting my life to never-ending "flexible" (elastic?) working hours.
So between last week and this one I've finished launching Today and now it's time to take care of this project.
A couple of things will change:
So the name is going to change, we will publish the logo soon, the website is in progress... we are definitely moving forward! 鈽猴笍
The good news for me is I got hired again, almost instantly. The bad news for this project is... it is a side project again.
I still love to tweak performance for websites and web apps. Squeezing every single millisecond from a database transaction is just addictive. But I'm not doing it on a daily basis anymore.
However, I'm sure the idea is good and there is a market out there, waiting for this product to see the light.
A couple of hours ago, I got my notice from the HR team. While feeling shocked, it's also an opportunity to give my side projects a bit of love.
Since the last publication, i've managed to have the core functionality of this SaaS up and running. There is a lot of work to do (boy, this doesn't even have a proper name), but much less than before! :)
Exciting times!
Today I'm starting this pet project. It's my first one being shared in this community. I don't even know its final name, url or anything. The only thing I have is a little subset of what I want to do in my blog (in Spanish).
The idea is to monitor, in a regular basis, the speed score of each page in your website, so you can easily compare every improvement you make with the previous result, or be the first one to know when things are getting slower.
So... Hello, World! :-)
