Connecting podcasters with guests
For beginner podcasters it is not easy to make contacts or promote themselves on other podcasts. The idea is to have a platform where you can find podcasters or people interested in appearing on podcasts.
I've created a few graphs with relevant data about podcasting thanks to PodcastIndex's open data. The idea is that more people will share those stats and thanks to that more people will discover WebiCaster.
The graphs will be updated once a month, I think they will be the most updated graphs in the podcasting sector.

I have changed the operation and limitations of how users can contact each other.
Before it was like Tinder. The two people had to match in order to contact each other.
The problem is that few people enter every day to try to make a match, so few people could contact other people.
Now this is no longer necessary.
We launched on ProductHunt this morning.

We are following a strategy of offering a discount this week, and putting a big banner on the website indicating it.
The big problem I've had with posting has been this:
Recommendation:
A tool that has helped us a lot: https://previewhunt.com
It's free and allows you to get an idea of what it looks like before the launch.
Finally WebiCaster is in two languages (English and Spanish) and the premium options are now available and people can pay a monthly subscription.
For the payment system I have decided to integrate Paddle instead of Stripe. I think it will give me less headaches not having to worry about tax management.
I hope to be lucky and be able to monetize this project and make it grow as much as it deserves.
From mid-December to mid-January I got a good friend to help me with social media and I have been able to polish the product (add new features).
It is very important to get support/help from people who do some of the things better than you do yourself.
(I'm good with code, not with social media and promotions).
December has been the launch month. I have managed to have registered users and the feedback is good.
I have tried to pay for advertising on Twitter, but the results are not as expected.
It has worked much better that some podcasters mentioned WebiCaster in their podcasts.
I think the news of being the "only portal for Spanish speakers" has helped us to be shared and get free publicity.
I realize how complicated it is to grow a community or social network.
After talking to several people, and managing to organize myself to have time ... I manage to start programming the real platform in mid-November.
v0 -> landingpage with Carrd
v1 -> Platform created with Drupal
At the end of November I publish v1 of the MVP.
It lacks many features, and you can't even pay for it. It is totally free to try to generate community.
Development time about 2 weeks (no full time). I bought an html theme to save time on the css layout.
The web for the moment is focused only for spanish speaking people. This has been to be able to publish fast and to be able to keep asking for feedback in spanish.
I have created a landingpage with Carrd.co and I have started asking Spanish podcasters if they like the idea. The site didn't even have its own domain!
It's worth spending the time to make video calls rather than start programming.
It even helped me to be interviewed in a podcast.
