Before Corona virus and social distancing one of my favorite things to do was play a good board game with a small group of friends. weTabletop helps recreate that experience in a virtual setting with remote board games.

Today I launched the redesign of /online-events, a new portion of the site focused entirely on online board game events.
Right now there are close to 50 upcoming events listed! I'm planning on launching to Product Hunt soon.
Coronavirus has pretty much put an end to in-person gatherings and events. There's no way weTabletop could survive without changing its core offering.
So today I am proud to announce a rebranded experience: weTabletop Online.
weTabletop Online helps players find remote, online board game events that are hosted on Tabletop Simulator and other platforms. You can play these from the safety of your home without breaking social distancing.
I've been playing board games remotely with my friends for a few years now. With the right video set up and a little patience they stack up pretty well to playing in real life!
At the beginning of February I went all in on weTabletop and set a goal to find my first paying customer before the end of the month. And, with just one day to spare, I received a Stripe payment!
weTabletop helps players find local tabletop, card, and board game events. My entire month was spent reaching out to game stores pitching my products. None of these cold calls worked but I learned a ton of information and will be pivoting to a “get more for free” nurturing plan in March.
But just a few days ago I was reached out to by an ONLINE store asking to advertise on weTabletop. So we worked out some math based on traffic and they are paying for a month of advertising! It isn’t exactly what I expected but I’m still ecstatic to hit my goal and go into March excited and confident.
There are now 10,000 monthly players searching for board game events on weTabletop!
A lot of work went into building content and SEO over the past few weeks and it is starting to really pay off. Integrating with more event sources has enabled weTabletop to quickly build a huge listing of events across multiple games. There are now over 400,000 events and 90% of acquisition is organic!
