Interviewed Courtland at the Worldwide Meetup Q&A

Back in September we had Courtland as a special guest at our monthly meetup. It went really well, turns out podcast hosts also make great meetup guests.

Courtland's advice on market validation for a new indie business was particularly salient:

  • Validate your idea with the same distribution channel you will use to grow long term. Eventually every growth channel stops working.

  • You can't get discouraged if one channel doesn't work, another one might.

  • Make sure you're testing the right thing.

  • An idea is not just a product idea.

  • When the market is saturated you have to focus on product.
