I'm on a mission to accelerate ideas exchange beyond language barriers. I filter and curate content between different languages and presents it in a flow and accessible way. Here is the Chinese version.

Still focus on creator economy, life philosophy and tech trends (with book reviews and podcast summary).
Happy with my audiences base but not in the plan to build the community right now since I don't have the capacity to run the community. I'll focus on what I like and am good at which is creating content!

After I announced that I'm going to launch my own writing course in the second half of this year. My subs have increased dramatically in the past two weeks. Glad to get some EOI people and now I can talk with them to design my cohort accordingly. Talking to customers is my priority now!

Woohoo! It's always nice to see the growth of readers. I still run this newsletter every week with three topics: books/podcast reviews, new trends and experiences, and weekly thoughts. The only problem is mainland China banned overseas server, which means people won't be able to open my website to read other content. WeChat is a closed platform, and I'm thinking of connecting with my subscribers out of the WeChat platform directly.

I talked with investors this week to see what's their thoughts on my bootstrapping business. At the moment, I have ENG- CHI newsletter targeting Chinese readers who'd like to know the tech and trends in the western world. I started on IH to reverse the process by producing CHI- ENG newsletter (China Bytes) to taste the appetite. Let's see how it goes.

26 Subscribers on IH after I published the first China Bytes issue.

I also run a weekly podcast to talk about contemporary immigrants lifestyle and career development.

All my content is in Chinese at the moment.

I started Y Media in 2017, serving as a media company to help startups with social media marketing and communications. During my operation time, I found my Chinese speaking clients are struggling to keep up with the latest news and topics from silicon valleys. The traditional media company won't translate and share tweetstorms, podcasts and blog posts from modern western thinkers, e.g. Paul Graham, Naval, and so many more.

Therefore, I translated and summarised tweetstorms and newsletters to my clients in my spare time and post on my own social media channels. The content went viral among Chinese readers. I'm still in the stage to talk with customers to understand their need and design my products based on the feedback. I know there are many competitions in my main industry working as a media agency, but the side project I just mentioned could be a new thing that no others have done.

This year, I want to devote my time and achieve the mission of accelerating idea exchanges beyond language barriers.

I'd love to make something people want that will hold value for a long time and potentially for many people. That's why I'm here to learn and want to find a co-founder into machine learning that can solve the translation in scale problem.
