I tend to get bored easily. That's one of the reasons I start projects and not finish them 😅
To me, there is nothing more exciting and rewarding than figuring out how to find customers for a new project: drive more traffic, maximize its conversion rate. etc.
So every time I see the launch of a new product that I particularly like on Indie Hackers, I find myself imagining how I'd grow it.
Last Sunday an idea popped into my head: why not briefly write down all my thoughts and share them with the world?
Maybe someone would find them interesting. Or maybe not.
Curious to see what other people thought, I tweeted my idea.
"Idea: every week I randomly pick one product made by some Indie Hackers and write 500-1000 words on how I'd grow it"
And...Boom! The tweet caught fire.
It got 50k impressions and generated a lot of likes, comments, retweets and DMs!
And all the comments were super positive. A lot of fellow Indie Hackers were encouraging me to go ahead and do it.
Even Courtland tweeted about it!
At that point I didn't have a website. I didn't have a product. But I knew I had an idea people loved!
This is really exciting, but I haven't done anything yet. Today the real work begins: next week I'll have to write the first Zero to Marketing case study!
Great idea and a good start. All the best!!
Thank you! 🙏
That's Great. Best of luck!
Thanks!
Kudos
Thanks Greg! ✌️
Call me dumb, but where's the business model in this? How would this generate revenue? Is it just consulting?
You're on to something!
Love this - looking forward to your first one. Creates a win-win for you and the companies you analyse.
Thank you Nathan and good luck with your project! 😀
What do you mean "randomly"!?!?
Pick me. Pick meeeee!!!!
Jk, Good luck! :)
😀
Awesome idea. Look forward to reading them
Thanks Harry! You were the first person who encouraged me to go ahead and do it ✌️
This is really intriguing. How do you plan to choose the projects?
Co-Founder @ Scribbl.co
I want to feature different business models: one week a SaaS, the other week an eCommerce, then a course/membership, etc.
Would you consider Scribbl.co? We just launched this month.
We are a SaaS business who built a simple tool that automates note taking during calls. We are quickly learning that entrepreneurs are using our tool to drive customer development and centralize all of their customer conversations.
Very interesting idea to validate a product, I followed you! 🥳
Thank you Cristian 😊
This is great Andrea. Well done. I'll find you on twitter and retweet too.
Wow thanks Simon! 👊

Thanks Kristina! 🙏
Just went through the tweet. That escalated pretty quickly! ;)
Waiting for it. I'm sure a lot of Indie Hackers will find it useful!
Thanks Abey, I really hope so 😉
That's really great!
How do you plan on monetizing it?
If you need some material, you can use my project:
Website: https://colofon.io
and App: https://app.colofon.io
I'm a software engineer so I could definitely use some idea on growth. :D
Cheers and good luck!
Hi Thomas! Right now my focus is on making a good product people like. I haven’t tackled monetization yet. Baby steps 😀
Great work Andrea. Look forward to reading the first post...!
Wow! Cool idea! Follow you.
What about getting feedback about results and how many Indie Hackers try your way/advices?
And other analytics...
