On January 1st I left my co-founder position in a small outsourcing company to try myself as an indie hacker. Craziest decision in my life.

Headwinds:

• 42 years old already
• living in a country with ongoing war
• Dad of a 1 y.o. → sole income for family
• No business/marketing experience
• all of 2025: 5h/day obligation for almost no pay → fought the whole year with one hand tied.

Tailwinds:

• 42 years old yet
• 20 years of dev experience (mostly backend)
• bunch of ideas and curiosity
• support of my wife and friends
