I started working on Checkanalytic after seeing the same issue again and again on EU websites. Analytics would simply stop working until users accepted cookies. Not because teams didn’t care about privacy — but because the tools assumed full consent by default.
This created a weird situation:
– decisions were made on incomplete data
– conversion rates looked better than reality
– teams trusted numbers that were silently wrong
At the same time, most sites didn’t actually need user-level tracking.
