I somehow stumbled upon IH through a new-forgotten post somewhere, and I immediately saw something special here.

I've occasionally entertained the idea of trying to profit from some of my creations, but I could never bring myself to try to market them. So everything I've done up until now has ended up in my open-source graveyard.

With my most recent creation (DoXM), I'm actually going to try. I have no idea what I'm doing, really. I just keep pushing forward. Reading posts on IH help with staying motivated, and I'd like to give back if I'm ever able to.

I'm a .NET developer for my day job, in the government sector. It's tiresome and draining, sometimes frustrating. It motivates me to keep going at times, and other times completely drains me. I think most people here can relate to that feeling.

Every small success I read about here, even the smallest of small ones, is very inspiring. I'm hoping that, if nothing else, I get to become part of a community that lifts each other up.
