LinGoat

LinGoat is a free Spanish learning app built to maximize language learning efficiency. It was built around a system laid out in this 2024 paper outlining how to increase language learning efficiency 4x compared to standard spaced repetition (SRS). https://aclanthology.org/2024.bea-1.29/ Our system generates full sentences containing multiple works marked as due by the SRS. Each word in the sentence is graded independently and fed back into the SRS. Not only is this approach lead to 4x the vocab retained it also allows learners to produce sentences at the same time.
