I am sole author of Sciter (https://sciter.com) and HTMLayout (retired) Engines - HTML/CSS/script UI for desktop applications.
Sciter/HTMLayout code works on 450 mln PCs and Macs that far (in various products of different vendors). Since 2007 it is in production.

A bit about myself:

Sciter started as a side project when I was working as a Web FrontEnd Architect/TechLead at one of .com's. 14 years ago state of affairs in Web Front End was quite grim and I decided to fix that and create HTML UI engine as it should be, that's why Sciter.
