I'm Claire, CEO of Know Your Team – a software tool that helps managers avoid becoming a bad boss. About five years ago, our company was spun-out of Basecamp. Since then, we've helped over 15,000 people in 25 countries at companies like Airbnb, Kickstarter, and Dropbox. We also run a online leadership community called The Watercooler with 1,000+ leaders and thousands of conversations on hiring, firing, business growth and more.

I write on leadership at the Know Your Team blog, and have been published in Harvard Business Review, Business Insider, CNBC, Inc, Fortune, among others. I speak internationally on how to create more open, honest work environments. I teach as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at my alma mater, Northwestern University.
