I've submitted Feedbeaver to 50+ directories over the course of the month of November.
In some of my previous posts about the process of building an audience from scratch, a few of you asked more details about the process.
Here are a few of the directories that worked for me:
I share a few more stats such as pageviews I got from each one and some SEO details at my blog. If you're interested, check it out: 7 places to submit your startup that actually work
Bottom-line is that you shouldn't put too much hope in this strategy to build your product. It gets you a few subscribers, which can be invaluable to help you test your product and get your motivation up, but it's not a reliable, repeatable strategy.
"Show HN" > everything else in terms of traffic and feedback but it's hard to get to the front page.
Ipdata.co was on HN's frontpage yesterday!
I'd submitted plenty of times before with barely any results but the one thing I can say I did differently yesterday was use the same language users use when describing a service like mine. I submitted right after reading jfaucett's comment at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4360233. Basically he's saying how at the time of writing there were no good geolocation providers and how "...it seems like this be a pretty good API service someone could offer, do it a lot cleaner more modern, better docs and bindings" and that led to me posting https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=15879115
The language in the title is what I believe had the greatest impact.
Audience research rocks, congratulations!
Instaaa.com submits your startup to 125+ directories for a price :) was definitely worth it for me.
Others that I found to work well are:

Hi!
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. Can you please tell me if you are talking about submitting the working product or just landing page?
I just started my landing page and struggling to find the first signups. Will these resource work for me?
Thanks!
Just a landing page will work with any of these services.
The only that requires a working product is Lucr.io.
Thanks for your response, I will start using them :)
Thanks for including Publicly.
I just wanted to point out that the website is only about 2 weeks old. Also, it serves a very different purpose than the other sites listed.
I guess it's time to build an aggregator or something that can post to all of them! ;)
Thanks for the share ruigomes.
I have one more question... I see many of those resources has paid option, and if you don't use it, you may wait 2 months and more... did you pay them?
I paid for a PH Ship Pro subscription and BetaList's expedited submission. Both of these are optional
