Creating the product is much easier than building the brand.

All products start off as an idea. No matter the journey to create, building the brand is much tougher than most imagine.

My name is Joseph and I created Bootstrap.io, a platform that creates landing pages for apps. Using your Apple Developer ID, users can instantly create individual websites for each of their apps on the App Store.

I was featured on Product Hunt prematurely - when still in beta, but I hoped for the best - and was able to get 30 sign-up's in two days. Of course - that was nice. Now it's stagnating to just only 50 sign-up's in the last few months. While I truly don't feel the product is 'not just another', I do think the product has the concept to do great.

Any feedback, comments or thoughts are greatly appreciated. From the concept of the platform, to the messaging behind the brand, and the delivery of the product.

Thanks!
Joseph

      @ezekg - Thanks! Pricing hasn't been added to the platform yet - but we do have a cost service set up, that I think is very reasonable to developers starting off.

      Pricing would be $8 per month w/ unlimited landing pages - either that be 1 or 35 app landing pages.

      Why $8? The pricing is totally based on how much hosting should cost, though it's not priced "cheaply to kill the competition".

      It's priced for developers starting off in building their brand, and any way in saving money is the best way to grow. We want bootstrap to be their from the beginning, and help developers along the way.

      Let me know you're thoughts on the concept, and even pricing structure.

          Another thing - that subdomain should be human-readable. I'm not sure if Apple does any enforcing of unique app names, but in the above example the landing page should be something like angry-birds-star-wars.bootstrap.io. Maybe there's an upsell opportunity for letting the user customize their subdomain name further (along with basic colors/layout).

            @ezekg, @alexpete

            Thanks for the feedback. The comments both made are great in helping me deliver a great product!

            With the subdomain - it's made as the app ID, and was intentional. As that is the CNAME you can point your real URL too. The CNAME (http://645859810.bootstrap.io) points to star-wars.com.

            What is great is,multiple layouts are already a feature: http://455190486.bootstrap.io/. You can even select the device color and orientation. This was added so users don't have to try and make their own app device images. All is needed is the screenshot of the app.

            Taking as these comments were made twice, that's something I will need to market on the home page for messaging. Maybe a video may be quicker to view?
