Using Stripe as a merchant in unsupported countries
I am building a web app that will collect payments from customers all over the world and I prefer to integrate Stripe because of various reasons. However, I am from India, one of the countries where Stripe is not yet available to merchants(see https://stripe.com/global). Is there a way for me to be able to use Stripe from a different country and do it in a legal way?

Channing, if I decide to register via Stripe Atlas, do you know anyone who could give me an invite? Or perhaps you :)?
I believe anyone signing up through the ProductHunt link gets in without an invite.
Thanks! I will check that out. Once I create a company with Stripe Atlas, I can create multiple side projects under it, right? Since I am working on my first one currently and it might fail, I want to make sure that I can launch future projects under the same company.
I'm not using atlas ( yet ), but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do that.

Just be careful and ready and read all about the caveats. For foreigners, there could be a lot of hidden legal problems. You also need a lawyer/accountant. This all will probably cost you $2000-3000 per year to maintain the business.
If you want to collect payments, you can consider using Estonia e-Residency program with PayPal or European alternatives to Stripe as well. It's easier and cost less.
