I am just trying to run FB ads for the first time to reach more travellers who are looking to how to save on flights.
I heard that travel sector is not easy as many big companies are competing there.
What do would be a the good price to pay for conversion in the travel sector?
Any particular tips how to lower it down?
BTW we have a FB pixel installed for few months now on our home page at https://flystein.com
Today I noticed this message from FB: "To improve ads delivery and reporting, the Facebook pixel will start sending additional event data, including button clicks and related page metadata. These changes will take effect on May 20, 2017."
Will it affect anything?
Thanks!
Man, don't run FB ads just for the sake of it. There is a whole bunch of ways how to do it but before even starting it seems you haven't figured out "HOW MUCH CAN YOU PAY" for the conversion.
You see, the way how to run performance marketing is first to have data about your LTV and knowing your payback period based on different channels you are running. LTV depends on many factors based on your industry, business model, retention, monetization even UX design and how fast are people able to pay and whether they are upsold later on. When such LTV is calculated, you know how much you can pay for a conversion (usually a payment or anything else valuable for a startup, like registration etc.) to maintain a certain margin level. Then you can move to optimisation => FB works very well but it also requires a marketing budget depending on how high are conversion rates (you can also check that via organic traffic).
Anyhow - right now you are flushing money down the toilet, understand your metrics first! Do some math and then run ads.
