Should I advertise planned features?

I'm building out a product, and have most of the core functionality down (thus I can advertise those features), however I have several more pretty useful features planned?

Should I advertise "Upcoming Features" as well as the product's current features? Or may this put people off signing up until those Upcoming Features are complete?

I guess if you think about it this way, lets say you're a store that sells fruit.

You've got apples in today so you put up a sign saying that you have apples, people come round and buy your apples and everything is good. Someone who wants oranges walks past your store and they keep going because you are selling apples, but what they don't know is that you'll have a delivery of oranges in two days. If you had put a sign up outside your store saying you get oranges in two days, they might have came back in two days to buy those oranges.

I guess my point is, what harm could it do? granted it could do a lot of harm if you're blatantly lying and over promising features that you're never going to create. If you've got some features that are core to your product and they're coming soon, then why not mention them? It might cause a customer that actually wants those features to come back to you later
