Looking for feedback on my understanding of startup success

Hello, Indie Hackers!

I have a history of working at multiple funded startups in London as well as founding my own, so I've seen the startup world from multiple perspectives. Of course, I went through a lot of failures, learned a lot, and keeping moving forward.

Over the last 2 years my thinking has radically changed (that was a slow process) and I became quite obsessed with focusing on customers. I have realized that businesses don't exist to build products, they exist to serve customers, and reflecting on everything I have done in the past showed me that I was doing things backward. I'd work on a product, then "launch" it, then pivot, then try again etc. None of that had to do with serving customers and creating real value.

I've written a blog post about why I believe customer focus is critical and how it affects early stages of the company and would really appreciate your feedback, especially criticism and challenges.
