Regarding your point on heavy vs ad-hoc users: you made me realize that I have to rework the pitch is it does not expose all my assumptions. One of them is that the use case is more about files streaming: let's say you are constantly receiving log files then I can help to crunch it in near real time. That's why the monthly plan makes sense actually for all customer segments. So I will make that point clear on the landing page.

regarding the risk company will develop their in-house solution, I think it is valid for any business. The thing is this kind of product can easily require a fulltime person, a specific know-how, generate maintenance costs, and so on.

Regarding the sales pitch and customer expectation: I guess I have to rework that part as well. I will probably add a page to give more details on how it works.
