Ask IH: How can I find a mentor to help me as a first time indie hacker?

Hey guys,

I launched my first biz earlier this year and it's going well so far (yay!), but I'm at a stage where I feel that I would massively benefit from having a mentor to help guide me through the questions that I'm battling internally.

Right now I'm generating around $12k sales per month - but this is largely thanks to a lot of manual outreach and having converted customers I worked with as a freelance copywriter.

I have tons of ideas about how to scale, but I often have a lack of confidence in my approach and tend to do a lot of ideas poorly, rather than focus on doing a few things very well.

This is my first business, and I would love to find someone to mentor me through my first foray into the world of entrepreneurship. I'm not looking for answers, but more someone to be a trusted soundboard for new ideas.

Do you have any tips on how to go about finding a mentor? And if you have worked with a mentor, how has your experience been? I'm really keen to soak up your impressions of the mentor-mentee role .
